#26 Gurkha Ninja

Today is the fifth installment of “30 Sticks in 31 Days”, my Top 30 2010 Cigar of the Year countdown.

For #26 on the list, I selected the Gurkha Ninja.  The Ninja is the sibling to the stick that posted #29 on my list (the Gurkha Viper).  The Ninja has a very interesting blend to it – Nicaraguan Filler, Cameroon Binder, and a striking Brazilian Wrapper to it.   While it doesn’t come in the box-press shape that it’s sibling the Viper comes in, the Brazilian wrapper gives this stick a very bold look.  Like the Viper, Gurkha opted for simplistic band and simplistic packaging.

The Ninja is going to produce wonderful notes of chocolate, caramel, and coffee while having some very old-school oak-like flavors.   The cigar is going to start out with medium strength and progress to full strength toward the end.   From a body standpoint, this one is going to also be a push toward the full side.
