NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. has become the latest sports celebrity to have a his name associated with a cigar.  Ted’s Cigars has announced the release of the Dale Earnhardt Jr. “88” cigar.

The cigar is described as a “mild and creamy” cigar on the web-site.  It has been mentioned that this cigar is the same blend as the Ted’s Connecticut Shade cigar which is sold in three sizes.   The Dale Earnhardt Jr. “88” will only be sold in a toro-size vitola.   It will be packaged in an individually-sealed glass tube.  The “88” will be sold in boxes of 3, 10, or 25 cigars.

Ted’s Cigars has been primarily known for its infused cigar line such as Grand Marnier, Hopz, Maker’s Mark, and Forty Creek.  The company also has offered traditional cigars in a Connecticut Shade and Maduro offering under the “Ted’s” name.

Earnhardt Jr. is the second sports celebrity this week to lend his name to a cigar.  Earlier this week, hockey legend Bernie Parent announced his BSB #1 project with Rocky Patel Premium Cigars.
