Rocky Patel II-XXVI (**)

Cigar Aficionado.com has reported details around a new cigar being launched by Rocky Patel Premium Cigars.  This cigar is meant to commemorate company president Rocky Patel’s birthday.  The cigar is being called Rocky Patel II-XXVI.  The II-XXVI represents “2-26” which is the date of Rocky Patel’s birthday.

The article mentions the cigar is being targeted for an (approximate) 2/26 launch to coincide with Patel’s birthday.  This marks the first cigar to be launched in 2013 by Rocky Patel Premium Cigars.  Last year, the company had one of its biggest years in terms of launching new lines.

The original article in Cigar Aficionado/Cigar Insider reported the blend would have a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper, a Mexican Double Binder, and Nicaraguan filler.  The official press release reported a different blend (***)

Filler: Brazilian Mata Fina, Nicaraguan (Condega, Jamastran Valley, and Ometepe)

The II-XXVI will be made available in three sizes as per 1/29/13 story in Cigar Insider (*). The story mentioned a total of 3,000 boxes of 20 (60,000 cigars).
