La Flor Dominicana will be one of three companies to launch a cigar exclusively for the Tobacconist
Association of America (TAA) shops this May.  The cigar will be the La Flor Dominicana Double Press Maduro (TAA Edition).  Details of this TAA exclusive appeared on an April 5, 2013 article in Cigar Afcionado.com.

According to the article, the cigar will be a variation of La Flor Dominicana’s Double Press cigar.  The difference will be the TAA edition will feature a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper as opposed to the original Double Press’ Ecuadorian Habano wrapper.  The TAA version will be in the same size as the original box-press.

The La Flor Dominicana Double Press Maduro (TAA Edition) is planned for a May shipment date.  This is expected to be one of the the first of the 2013 TAA releases to ship. It will carry an SRP of $8.00.  TAA cigars are only available for sale to those retailers that are
members of the TAA.  In many cases, these TAA releases are one time
production runs.

Other TAA releases in 2013 include the Avo Movement and a special vitola of the Tatuaje 10th Anniversary.  The most details of the three are around the La Flor Dominican release.  In addition, while not a TAA exclusive, the La Aurora Maduro will have an early release to TAA retail members prior to the national launch at the 2013 IPCPR trade show.  It has also been reported that Joya de Nicaragua’s CyB Lancero Fino will be introduced to the TAA as well.
