AFR-75 by PDR Cigars

PDR Cigars has announced a new small batch cigar called the AFR-75. The cigar will make its debut at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas. Information on this cigar was sent via press release to Cigar Coop.

The AFR-75 derives its name from the initials its Master Blender, Abraham Flores Rosario as well as his year of birth (1975).

The AFR-75 is described as a rich, full-bodied offering. It will be a maduro cigar that features a San Andres wrapper.  The cigar is being launched in three sizes and each size will be limited to 500 boxes per size. The cigars will be made at the PDR Cigars factory in the Dominican Republic. The cigars are expected to ship after the trade show in July.

The AFR-75 is one of two small batch signature series being launched at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show – joining the A. Flores Gran Reserva.  Meanwhile Flores’ PDR Cigars factory has been busy with cigars being made for others to be showcased at the 2013 IPCPR.  These include the Kristoff Galerones, Primer Mundo Costa Fuerte, and the Ortega Mini Cigars.

In the press release, Flores talked about a little about the small batch projects:  “I’m really excited about the new lines. We had a lot of success with the A. Flores Serie Privada line and we’re going to be doing more special release small batch projects. As a blender I have a lot of fun creating different blends that we can put out in smaller amounts for the hardcore cigar guys to enjoy.
