This Asylum 13 Ogre 7 x 70 will now have three
additional sizes in the line

The Asylum 13 Ogre line, the candela and maduro barber pole that was introduced in 2013 as a 7 x 70 will be adding three additional sizes.  Christian Eiroa, founder of Fabricas Unidas (Asylum’s parent company) was a guest on the 2/8/14 edition of Kiss My Ash Radio and announced the three new sizes.

The three new sizes will be a 5 x 50 Robusto, a 6 x 60, and a 6 x 80.  We reported on the 5 x 50 Robusto a few weeks ago  as this will be a featured cigar at the 2014 DC Tweet Up.  Eiroa said the cigars will be released late February/early March.

The 80 ring gauge marks Asylum’s third ring gauge in Asylum Cigars family – joining the Asylum 13 6 x 80 and Asylum 13 Authentic Corojo 6 x 80.

In a follow-up press release, Asylum Cigars co-founder Tom Lazuka said, ““What started as a St. Patrick’s day cigar has now become a sensation in our Asylum 13 brand and a product many were originally skeptical about, but pleasantly surprised upon lighting one up.”

On the program, Eiroa commented on the success of Asylum as being one of the most successful in the history of the cigar industry.  Eiroa said in its first year, Asylum produced 1.9 million cigars.
