At the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show, Felipe Gregorio cigars showcased a revamping of their Pelo De Oro line.  The company announced that this new iteration of the Pelo De Oro line will be a Costa Rican puro featuring Pelo de Oro.  The line in addition to launching five sizes in a habano natural wrapper, there will be an additional size made available in a maduro wrapper.

According to owner Philip Wynne, the tobaccos used in the Pelo De Oro come from the Cordillera Central region of Costa Rica grown an altitude of 3,000 feet.  The area is known to be a volcanic region in the country.

While there will be five sizes in a natural wrapper, the Stubby Maduro will provide a 4 x 55 vitola featuring a Costa Rican Maduro wrapper.

This iteration of the Pelo De Oro is an all new blend from the previous (which was a multinational blend also incorporating Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos).  The new iteration is also being released in an all new set of sizes.

The Felipe Gregorio Pelo De Oro joined the Felipe Gregorio Power 2014 as the company’s IPCPR releases.

At a glance, here is a look at the Felipe Gregorio Pelo de Oro:
