For the sixth consecutive year, E.P. Carrillo will have an installment of its Short Run series.  The company has announced to retailers that the E.P. Carrillo Short Run 2015 will be shipping in mid Mach.  The Short Run 2015 brings another first to this series – it will be the first Short Run to utilize a Nicaraguan wrapper.

The E.P. Carrillo Short Run 2015 will sport a Criollo 98 wrapper from Jalapa.  The company said that this was a wrapper master blender Ernesto Perez-Carrillo had hoped to use for some time.  As with the previous editions of the Short Run, it will be offered in three sizes.  The cigars will be packaged in 24 count wooden cabinet boxes with a production of 1,500 cigars per size.

The Short Run series is meant to be exactly what the name implies – a limited production run cigar with a different blend each year.  For the most part, these releases have been one and done.
