Cigar Coop was founded by William Cooper in August of 2010.   Prior to 2010, Cooper was using various social media circles to share his experiences with the cigar and the cigar industry.  He was encouraged by many others to start a web-site, and following the 2010 IPCPR Retail show, he launched "Cigar Coop"

Cooper was born in Brooklyn NY and spent his childhood living in the city limits of New York City.  He attended Rutgers University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science in 1989.  He has spent 23 years working in technology, and 12 of those years involving with enterprise software sales for a large technology company.

Cooper's experience with cigars began in 2007 while a member of Florios' Three Little Indians' cigar lounge in New York City.  In 2008, he relocated with his family to North Carolina where he joined Outland Cigars.  In 2010,  became a part of the Outland Cigars' team as a Humidor consultant and has worked to help develop Outland Cigars' cigar facings to emerge as one of the premier retailers in the United States.

Cooper is also a proud member of the Cigar Rights of America (CRA).  In December 2011, Cooper was a named a CRA Ambassador for the State of North Carolina.

He is also a member of General Cigars' Ambassador program to provide feedback on current and upcoming cigars.  In addition to his cigar web-site, he is a contributing writer to "The Cigar Network" magazine and the online version of "QC Exclusive".

Cigar Coop

Cigar Coop started out by all practical purposes as your classic cigar blog, but has had its own evolution process. Originally focused around "The Smoke, the Craft, and the People", founder William Cooper made a change in 2011 to focus to web-site around hard-core technical content and assessments of cigar products.  The goal was to inform consumers, retailers, and manufacturers of products that exist in the marketplace and provide unbiased and timely feedback.  Our goal is to do this within a code of ethics both on and off the web-site and to do it in an ad-free fashion.

Cigar Coop is now evolving to move beyond a blog and become a full-service, collaborative information resource around cigars.  2012 will mark the beginning of this journey and we look forward to all loyal readers and followers.

Interesting.  This is some store out of Sweden.  They are selling the Avo LE11 online and pointed to my review.  The last sentence links to my review stating "En målande och mycket entusiastisk beskrivning kan du läsa här." which translates to "A vivid and very enthusiastic description can be found here."
