Pinar Del Rio Liga Especial Reserva Superior

2011 has been a very good year for Abe Flores and his team at Pinar del Rio Cigars.   Over the past year, he has grown his PDR 1878 line to four blends.   At the 2011 IPCPR show, Flores showed off a cigar that already had been getting some attention from some folks – the Pinar Del Rio Liga Especial Reserva Superior.

As you can see from the name, the Pinar Del Rio Liga Especial Reserva Superior is not been marketed under the PDR 1878 name, but under the mothership Pinar Del Rio line.  This cigar is described as an “all ligero filler” powerhouse.    This will be a annual limited run cigar pretty much made only available to to select retailers around the country.  From talking to Flores and the team at the Pinar Del Rio booth, this cigar is described as a powerhouse.

Pinar Del Rio releases have been recently identified with the colors of the bands and boxes.  The Liga Especial Reserva Superior is no exception as this is packaged in Silver.
