Herrera Esteli by Drew Estate

At the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show, Drew Estate Cigars unveiled the packaging of its Herrera Esteli brand.   The cigars were showcased, but no orders were taken for the new brand.

The Herrera Esteli marks the first blend for Drew Estate done by Willy Herrera who came over from El Titan de Bronze last year.  The blend has been launched under a new line for Drew Estate.

The intent of the Herrera Esteli brand was to bring a more Cubanesque influence into the Drew Estate brand.   The Liga Privada and Undercrown lines have been known as more Nicaraguan-centric.   When I visited the booth, there was a tremendous energy from Drew Estate Chairman Jonathan Drew in regards to this new brand.

The packaging is classic and reflects the Cubanesque vision of the brand.  The bands have a white and gold color scheme with red font for text.  The band has the text “HERRERA ESTELI IMPORTED FROM NICARAGUA” on it.  The boxes are simple wooden boxes with a slide top.  The box does say “Blended by Willy Herrera”.

The Drew Estate booth at IPCPR had four Herrera Esteli boxes on display – a Piramide Fino, a Robusto Extra, a Toro Especial, and a Lonsdale.
