The Recluse Draconian will be the second line of cigars by startup company Iconic Leaf Cigars.  This line will feature a new blend, which will be a maduro and three new shapes known as the Sidewinder.

Iconic Leaf Cigars launched their first blend, the Recluse at the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show in Orlando, Florida.  That cigar was released in ten frontmarks and scored an honorable mention on our 2012 Cigar of the Year Countdown.

Initial news of the Recluse Draconian was first reported by Seth’s Humidor.

A summary of the information around this release follows below:

Blend Profile

The blend is very different from the initial Recluse blend.  There is a little bit of mystery to this blend.  The wrapper’s origin is described as Ecuadorian.  The binder is proprietary while the filler contains a unique leaf called “Iconic Leaf Ligero” developed for Tabaclera Leyendas Cubanas – the factory that makes Iconic Leaf Cigars.

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Maduro
Binder: Proprietary
Filler: Dominican, Piloto Cubano, Brazilian Hybrid, Iconic Leaf Ligero

Vitolas Available

As mentioned, the plan is for three unique vitolas to be launched called “Sidewinders”.  Information on the shape and size was not disclosed at this time.  A similar approach was done with the Kanu vitolas made for the Iconic Leaf Recluse.
