Just prior to the IPCPR Trade Show, Hendrick Kelner Jr announced the launch of Smoking Jacket Cigars.  Smoking Jacket Cigars is a line of cigars being made at Kelner Jr’s own factory called the Kelner Boutique Factory (KBF) located in the Dominican Republic.  The Smoking Jacket Cigar line will feature two different blends – each with two distinct vitolas.  These cigars were showcased at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show.

Kelner Jr is known for being the son of Davidoff Master Blender Hendrick “Henke” Kelner.  By striking out on his own with his own factory, this gives Kelner Jr. some creative freedom in terms of building the blends.  Davidoff will still be handling the distribution for Smoking Jacket Cigars.

Kelner Jr. has also said distribution will be limited production over the first two years.  Following the IPCPR Trade Show, the company posted on their Facebook page “The premier of the Smoking Jacket Cigars at The IPCPR show in Las Vegas was a huge success. Only the 75 stores were selected for the first batch of cigars . They are all sold out . More to come . Many thanks to all the retailers that took in our new brand.”

The cigars are in the process of arriving at retailers.

At a glance, let’s take a look at the Smoking Jacket Cigars line.
