Nomad Connecticut Fuerte

Nomad Cigar Company has officially announced the release of its first Connecticut wrapped cigar, the Nomad Connecticut Fuerte.  For this release, Fred Rewey founder of Nomad Cigar Company returns to the Dominican Cigar to blend and roll this cigar.  The cigar becomes the company’s third core line.

At the beginning of the year, Rewey provided some insights into what 2014 would be like for Nomad Cigar Company and mentioned the release for the Connecticut cigar.

“The goal was to give traditional Connecticut smokers something a ‘bit more’ but not bury them in spice or strength. The other consideration was that I really wanted to create a cigar Nicaraguan fans would enjoy for their first smoke of the day. It was a very challenging endeavor. So far, the response has been very positive and I am pleased that so many people are taking to it,” said Rewey.

The Nomad Connecticut Fuerte joins the Nomad core line as being the company’s cigars blended and rolled in the Dominican Republic.  Last year, the company focused attention on Nicaraguan blended and rolled offerings with the Nomad S-307 and limited edition Nomad LE Esteli Lot 1386.

Rewery shows no signs of slowing down for 2014.  In addition to the release of the Connecticut Fuerte, earlier this year the company announced line extensions to the Nomad S-307.  The company also plans a “stronger” blend later this year.

Last week, we provided a pre-release assessment of the Nomad Connecticut Fuerte.
